Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in a feasibility study for the introduction of ammonia co-firing at a coal-fired thermal power plant operated by BLCP Power Limited.

ACWA Power has signed extensive heads of terms agreements to develop a green H₂ facility and a green ammonia pilot project in the Republic of Uzbekistan with the country’s Ministry of Energy and Uzkimyosanoat.

Gulf Energy Information’s Global Energy Infrastructure database is tracking more than 1,050 H₂ projects around the world. Nearly half of these investments are being made in Western Europe, followed by the Asia-Pacific region (21%) and the U.S. (13%).

Scatec and Egypt’s Sovereign Fund’s 100-MW green H₂ plant to be developed in Ain Sokhna. A final investment decision on the project is scheduled for 2023. If built, the facility will produce 15,000 tpy of H₂ to be converted into 90,000 tpy of green ammonia.

NTPC commissions India's first green H₂ blending project. Green H₂ blending has been started in the piped natural gas network of NTPC Kawas township, Surat. The project is a joint effort of NTPC and Gujarat Gas Limited.

Bloom Energy has entered into an agreement with Unimicron, a chip substrate and printed circuit board maker, to deploy up to 10 MW of fuel cells at Unimicron plants in Taiwan. The installations will begin in 2023 and be completed by 2026.

Iberdrola Australia and H₂ developer ABEL Energy will build a green H₂ and green methanol production plant at Bell Bay in northern Tasmania, Australia. The project, called Bell Bay Powerfuels, is backed by the Australian government and will involve an investment of €1.1 B.

Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (NSHD) announced that Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., NSHD’s U.S. operating company, received the award for the supply of H₂ and co-produce steam for a period of 20 years from Numaligarh Refinery Limited, a Public Sector affiliate of the Government of India.

Carbonix and H3 Dynamics are coming together to begin the development and production of the first Australian H₂-electric vertical take-off and landing unmanned aircraft system.
