South Africa's Coega green ammonia project has selected Danish company Topsoe to supply electrolyzer cell technology and other equipment in a deal valued around $1 B, the project developers said.

The project’s production is expected to commence by 2031 with an initial output of 400,000 tpy, expandable to 1 MMtpy in subsequent phases.
