Jeju Island is becoming an important testbed for industrial-scale hydrogen production in Korea, with renewable-heavy power conditions that can challenge large electrolysis loads. In that environment, power conversion becomes critical to stabilizing the interface between the grid and the electrolyzer stacks.

VERBUND and AustroCel Hallein GmbH are launching a major project in Hallein: Green H₂ will be produced there using renewable electricity and directly combined with a biogenic byproduct of Hallein's production.

Oil major bp and French energy company Engie have both withdrawn from significant green hydrogen (H2) projects in Oman, which has ambitions to be a leading global supplier, amid concerns over the development of demand. 

Europe must seize the moment and accelerate the deployment of clean hydrogen (H2) at scale, with a focus on locking in the best near-term opportunities rather than chasing perfection, according to Ivana Jemelkova, CEO of the Hydrogen Council, an industry association.
