At the 2026 CHS Europe Conference in Athens, Greece, AIChE’s Center for Hydrogen Safety (CHS) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Aramco, recognizing the company’s leadership in advancing hydrogen safety worldwide.
As one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, Saudi Aramco is playing an important role in supporting the safe development and deployment of hydrogen technologies. Through this collaboration, CHS and Saudi Aramco will work together to strengthen knowledge sharing and promote best practices that support the continued safe growth of the hydrogen economy.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to advancing hydrogen safety through collaboration, technical exchange, and the development of guidance that helps organizations safely scale hydrogen technologies across global markets.
CHS brings together organizations from industry, academia, and government to advance the safe handling, use, and storage of hydrogen across commercial and industrial applications.
