MaserFrakt and Norwegian Hydrogen sign long-term agreement for delivery of green hydrogen

MaserFrakt, one of Sweden's largest players in heavy transport, construction machinery and logistics services, has entered into an agreement with Norwegian Hydrogen to supply green hydrogen to MaserFrakt's vehicle operations. The collaboration is an important step in both parties' ambition to contribute to the green transition and enable zero emissions in heavy transport.

The agreement enables the continued conversion of MaserFrakt's vehicle fleet to operate with green hydrogen. The green hydrogen is produced with hydroelectric power and thus contributes to a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to conventional fossil fuels.

“Heavy vehicles account for a large share of emissions from the transport sector. Through this agreement, we show that green hydrogen is already a competitive and sustainable alternative today,” said Jens Berge, CEO of Norwegian Hydrogen. “Our neighbors in Sweden are truly at the forefront when it comes to the actual use of green hydrogen in a wide range of industrial and mobility applications, as clearly demonstrated by our steadily growing customer portfolio here. We truly appreciate being an active part of this journey.”

For MaserFrakt, the agreement is part of the company's long-term commitment to sustainability and emission reduction for the benefit of both customers and society at large.

“Our customers are increasingly demanding environmentally friendly logistics solutions. With trucks powered by green hydrogen, we can reduce our carbon footprint without compromising capacity or availability,” said Per Bondemark, CEO of MaserFrakt.

The agreement has been developed in close collaboration with TRB Sverige AB, which is an active party in MaserFrakt's hydrogen initiative. TRB has played a central role in structuring the commercial business model and has actively participated in the negotiations related to the delivery arrangement for green hydrogen. As a partner company within the TRB network, MaserFrakt benefits from joint strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating the transition to climate-neutral solutions for heavy transport in Sweden.

The collaboration between Norwegian Hydrogen, MaserFrakt and TRB is seen as an important contribution to the development of a fossil-free transport sector and strengthens the role of green hydrogen in Sweden's energy transition.

The green hydrogen is produced in Norway, and while deliveries to MaserFrakt have already begun, Norwegian Hydrogen also has several green hydrogen production projects under development to supply its customers in Sweden, which further strengthens the foundation for this partnership.
