Market segments compatible with this technology are diverse, including the ammonia and methanol markets, which will experience surging demand in the coming decades. This innovative approach complements existing clean H₂ technologies and enhances the portfolio of KBR’s sustainable energy solutions available globally.

This methane pyrolysis technology delivers H₂ and co-produced graphitic carbon from methane with negligible CO₂ emissions. The co-produced graphitic carbon offers a significant economic upside, supplying high-value and high-volume markets with a sustainable graphite alternative. KBR is working with Hazer to upscale the technology for commercial deployment and to enhance clean H₂ production capacity to over 50,000 tpy.
