LONGi Hydrogen has recently signed an equipment supply agreement with an overseas customer to provide one set of LONGi ALK Hi1 electrolyzers and its balance of plant (BoP) for a landmark green hydrogen project in Namibia. Scheduled to commence operation in the first quarter of 2027, the project will advance decarbonization objectives through the deployment of hydrogen-based solutions across various sectors, including road transport (truck, bus), rail (locomotive), off-road applications (tractor), off-grid power generation (genset), and maritime applications (port vessel).
The solution combines international standards with advanced technologies. The equipment will comply with CE marking requirement, together with international safety and regulatory requirements and laying a solid foundation for reliable long-term operation. The integrated IGBT power supply system ensures high efficiency, low harmonic distortion, and fast dynamic response, helping reduce energy consumption and operational costs. In addition, the system-level supply of electrolyzer and BoP enhances overall reliability and economic performance throughout the lifecycle.
Building on its strong technical capabilities and extensive project delivery experience, LONGi Hydrogen will provide full-chain support across project design, equipment supply, and onsite implementation. The company will work closely with the customer to ensure smooth execution and stable operation of the project.
Jun Ma, President of LONGi Hydrogen, stated: “LONGi Hydrogen has always adhered to a customer-centric approach, continuously advancing green hydrogen technology and project implementation. The signing of the Namibia project marks another breakthrough in Africa, following our earlier 10-MW project in North Africa, and brings the number of countries with signed projects to ten—an important milestone in the company’s international journey. This achievement not only broadens LONGi Hydrogen’s global presence but also accelerates the formation of a diversified, multi-regional application landscape. Looking ahead, we will continue to leverage our technology, experience, and delivery capabilities to provide reliable products and solutions for customers worldwide, driving the hydrogen industry toward scale-up and commercialization.”
